The Help Group Presents a Free One Hour Concert for Individuals with Autism & Their Families

Holly Sedillos is a talent and engaging vocalist who recently appeared in the live concert adaptation of “Aladdian and The Little Mermaid”. The performance, which is for children of all ages, will feature “concert time” when audience members are free to respond to music as active audience members; “conducting time”; and “percussion time” when participants are asked to play along on percussion instruments provided. Rising Tohoku Food Fair presents 2 full days of food and cultural festivities to celebrate the charms of the Tohoku region in Northeast Japan, which can be enjoyed by children and adults. In addition to presenting diverse and flavorful food products originating from the 6 prefectures of Tohoku, there will be a variety of paper craft activity workshops such as, coloring, origami, making hanagasa ornaments which can be used as fans, and writing wishes on tanzaku paper, plus dance performances.

Your Jr. Chef can make Parmesan Potato Stacks
After thinly slicing Yukon golds (mandolin with hand guard works well here), toss with melted butter, garlic powder, thyme leaves and s&p. Layer into buttered 12-well muffin tin, and bake for about an hour. Cool for 5 min, garnish with cheese and thyme. Comments offer addition of crumbled bacon and chives, double the Parm, halve the thyme, use bacon fat instead of butter, switch up the sweet potatoes for the Yukon golds and use sweetener/cinnamon/nutmeg. Parental supervision. Imbedded video.

God’s Closet is a non-profit organization that provides new and gently used children’s clothes to families in need. Program was founded in 2009 but they are new in Los Angeles. Coming soon they will be announcing their 1st free shop day. Parents pay $1 and shop for free! They are currently seeking donations of children’s clothes ages newborn to teenager.
