ImPACT testing available in Calabasas
Is your child playing sports this school year? ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) is a computerized brain injury measurement tool for children and teens to help determine when it is safe for a child or teen to return to school and sports after a head injury or concussion. A baseline test is recommended for children 10 and older that can then be used to compare to post-injury (head trauma/concussion) results. The ImPACT test takes 25-30 minutes on a computer in our office. Results are provided along with access for another doctor or team trainer to log in and compare to future testing after injury. Enrollment is now open for a new 8-week session of Preschool Breakdance that begins Sunday September 11th and runs weekly until October 30th. For ages 4-6, your child will learn the basics of freestyle street and breakdance in an encouraging environment. From the Robot to Uprock, 6-step to the Wave, these are just some of the moves your child will master by the end of the workshop.
