The Help Group’s Advance LA Day for Young Adults

This informative and fun all-day experience, is for young people ages 16-29 with social and/or learning differences. Sessions focus on personal and workforce skills development, building relationships with others, and valuable tools that can be used every day. The day is also a great opportunity to make new friends. In an effort to help teens and young adults with diverse challenges prepare for a successful future, the Day for Young Adults covers a range of topics and issues. There are workshops on managing stress, organization, dating, technology, fashion, social media, as well as fun opportunities for improv, sports competition, character drawing, and others. There are also two sessions for parents who want to connect and learn from others who are supporting young adults as they transition to independence.
