Your Jr. Chef can make Capellini with Vegetables
While angel hair pasta is cooking, sauté in olive oil in stages crushed/peeled garlic cloves, cut fresh green beans and asparagus, and grape tomatoes/chopped scallions/thawed frozen peas. After ladling in some pasta water, cook until liquid is reduced by half. Transfer al dente capellini to sauce, add ½ C heavy cream (that’s about 1 T per serving), and bring to a boil. Cook until sauce coats the pasta. Toss with fresh shredded basil leaves and grated grana padano cheese. Note: any pasta can be substituted; there will likely be textural differences. A yummy vegetarian pasta primavera that serves 6. Parental supervision.
