Crayon Collection
Billions of crayons ends up in landfills & can take years – even decades- to decompose. Meanwhile, U.S. teachers in underfunded public schools are spending an average of $750 of their own income per year on supplies for their classrooms. Many of us dine at restaurants where we receive little packets of crayons. You can help by creating a collection box at your school and getting everyone involved. Teach kids about reducing waste and philanthropy in one action. The Zoolympics 2016 will be held on the 5 acre zoo at Moorpark College. Students will host the Parade of Nations and the passing of the torch, animal style, on the main stage. In addition to animal presentations, there will be special guest animals featured including some of Hollywood’s Animal Actors. Other events include a kid zone, games, prizes, vendors, and much more.
