Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan Fund gala
I know Emily & Alan Feit personally, as well as their fertility Doctor, Robert Boostanfar. On Nov. 14th at the W Hollywood, they will be having their 3rd annual gala which raises money for Southern CA couples who need financial assistance for very costly in-vitro fertilization procedures. In partnership with the Jewish Free Loan Association, interest free loans are offered to qualifying couples. All monies raised help couples who otherwise could not afford IVF. So far nearly 50 couples have been helped since inception back in 2013. The night is really fun – dinner, open bar, DJ, silent & live auction. https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E9816&id=8

Play and Grow Smart-er Tips
Nancy Pyne-Hapke, author of “Play and Grow Smart, A Guide Supporting Brain Development, Birth through Five,” has been giving tips to aid your child’s optimum skill development through proactive neuroscience-based activities weekly since 2010. These ideas come from scholarly sources to personal interviews, from the internet to periodicals to books.
THE CRITICAL WINDOWS during which the circuits of the brain are being most heavily wired for MUSIC development is 3 – 10 years. The more opportunity children have to experience healthy, positive and nurturing MUSIC experiences during this critical period, the more efficiently their brains will work over the long run.
A FEW DEVELOPMENTAL LEARNING TOOLS (toys and other objects) for MUSICAL development: rattles and other toys for making rhythmic sounds, any objects that create gentle/rhythmic/musical sounds, toys that jingle/squeak/chirp/click/snap/ring, singing toys, play phones, musical instruments, any technology that plays music.
Some “MUSIC” tidbits from 30 months:
.. LISTEN purposefully to Toddler’s spontaneous singing
and repeating songs or rhymes over and over
(‘feeling heard’ is critical to emotional self-
          development).
.. ENCOURAGE him to reproduce rhythms by you and him
clapping hands or by tapping a metal pie pan or loaf
pan or empty oatmeal canister with a wooden spoon.
.. REPETITION, repetition, repetition –
                    – sing the same songs again and again.
                    – repeating songs encourages the use of words
                              and future memorization.
Upcoming – “Music, pt. 7”
