The story focuses on Seth Rosen, who struggled early on with what appeared to be behavioral and developmental issues, but in reality were much more severe. At age 14, he was diagnosed with a progressive brain disorder called MoyaMoya and underwent corrective surgery. The subsequent side effects-and there were many–and the emotional issues that resulted are relayed to the reader by Rosen, his mother and advocate. The author provides resources at the back of the book to aid parents along what can sometimes seem like a dark & never-ending tunnel.
