What they have in common is limp cabbage leaves wrapped around something yummy, and cooked surrounded by some sort of tomato sauce. Stuffing’s include raw ground meat (single meat or combos – beef, chicken, sausage, turkey, pork) mixed with a binder (milk-/water-soaked bread or cooked rice/barley/spelt/quinoa) and spices (some or all: sage, rosemary, garlic, cinnamon, parm). Buy a light-for-its-size cabbage – it’ll be easier to get untorn leaves. Comments suggest freezing the cabbage therefore skipping the blanching-leaves step. Start, of course, with clean little hands – they’re the best tools for this kind of preparation.
