Grandpa Read’s Quiet Time Tales
A series of 12 one-hour DVDs for children ages 2 to 8.  In each volume the character of Grandpa Read – played by actor Gary Sturm – reads five classic children’s stories and fairy tales aloud while accompanied by original illustrations commissioned for the project. Each DVD also contains a new original song, with all 13 songs featured on a Quiet Time Tales music CD. The series, in the spirit of ‘Mister Rogers’ and ‘Reading Rainbow’, was conceived and directed by R.A. Logan and produced by Terry Moore. According to the producers, their stated desire was to “create calming and soothing children’s entertainment which fires children’s imaginations and inspires a love of stories and story-telling, while providing guilt-free time for parents.”
