Stuffed Animals For Emergencies
SAFE is a 13-year-old non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. They collect various items such as stuffed animals, toys, books and baby blankets to benefit children during emergency situations such as fires, illness, accidents, neglect, abuse, homelessness and even weather emergencies such as tornadoes, floods and hurricanes. They also donate the items they receive to other children’s organizations, military organizations, libraries and even nursing homes. They accept new and gently used items for donation. This is a great way to reuse and recycle stuffed animals, toys, books and baby blankets that so many people have in their homes and just don’t know what to do with. When they receive donations we go through and clean the items, freshen them up a bit and then donate them to emergency organizations to be given directly to children in emotional, traumatic or stressful situations. Your donation can really make a difference for a child when they need it most!

Info on Play-doh
How do I remove PLAY-DOH compound from carpet, upholstery or fabric?
When attempting to remove PLAY-DOH compound do NOT use hot water or cleaning solutions of any kind. To remove PLAY-DOH compound from carpet or fabrics, allow it to dry completely, and then loosen with a stiff brush. It may be necessary to vacuum clean or wash with gentle soap and cold water. You may need to repeat the process in order to completely remove the PLAY-DOH compound.
My PLAY-DOH compound is drying out. How can PLAY-DOH compound be softened or moistened?
To restore the softness to PLAY-DOH compound, try adding water one drop at a time and working it in to moisten the PLAY-DOH compound. You can also try wrapping the PLAY-DOH compound in a damp paper towel, returning it to the container and replacing the cover. Let it sit overnight

Race to No Where Screenings in the Conejo Valley, Malibu, & Woodland Hills
A documentary about the pressures faced by American schoolchildren and their teachers in a system and culture obsessed with the illusion of achievement, competition and the pressure to perform. Featuring stories of young people pushed to the brink, educators who are burned out and worried that students aren’t developing the skills they need, and parents who are trying to do what’s best for their kids, Race to Nowhere points to the silent epidemic in our schools: cheating has become commonplace, stress-related illness, depression and burnout are rampant, and young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired. Race to Nowhere is a call to mobilize families, educators, and policy makers to challenge current assumptions on how to best prepare the youth of America to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens.
