Wednesday, October 27th at 7:30 p.m. With Dr. Bruce Powell, Head of School at New Community Jewish High School. Teens face daily choices in the world of Facebook, texting, and iChatting. Interpersonal relationship issues regarding intimacy, friendships, and alcohol and drug use can also create challenging and often stressful decision-making contexts for our pre-teen and teenage children. Dr. Powell will address these issues and will provide both philosophical and practical views on how parents can understand and deal with tough situations. He will also teach how to use Jewish values to build a solid “house” for teens and parents to live in.
The session is eight (8) weeks long with current openings in all age groups, up to 36 months. Classes are once a week for an hour and a half at various times on Mon. and Tues. All classes are taught by a Child Development Specialist with a Masters Degree, an Occupational Therapist, a Speech Therapist, and a Marriage and Family Therapist.
