These ideas come from scholarly sources to personal interviews, from the internet to periodicals to books. “VISUAL” DEVELOPMENTAL SKILL DEFINITION: seeing, distinguishing images, focusing on stimuli, tracking images, remembering images, looking at items sequentially, forming mental images. THE ‘CRITICAL WINDOW’ during which the circuits of the brain are being most heavily wired for VISUAL ACUITY is birth – 6 months, and BINOCULAR VISION is 1 – 3 years.
