“Vicuña” at the Kirk Douglas Theatre
Oct. 23rd-Nov. 20th
By Jon Robin Baitz & Directed by Robert Egan. Influenced by the evolving political landscape, this brand new satire focuses on a brash presidential candidate on the rise-a blustering real estate tycoon and reality TV star-and the world-renowned tailor he coerces into serving him. “Vicuña” delves beneath the overstitching, through the weave and into the true power of the power suit. A suit may or may not make the man but it can definitely be revealing. A timely take on our rollicking political scene from Pulitzer finalist Jon Robin Baitz.

Do you get on digital overload?
Trapped in an existence compulsively fidgeting with Twitter, email, texting and podcasts? Tame that digital media overload with knitting. (Didn’t I just read about how knitting is good for me?) You can binge-watch Netflix, listen to books on tape or just chill. For some it’s the process; for others it’s executing a project. It’s very affordable and easy to learn. Comments praise knitting as “a wonderful calming activity…for dealing with family-related PTSD,” “an activity for finger-twiddlers,” and “knitting can be meditative.”
