Need a vegetarian main dish for Thanksgiving?
Consider the Roasted Leek and White Bean Galette, a savory free-form pie. It’s easy and flaky crust is made with fingers alone, and the filling is roasted/caramelized leeks, canned cannellini beans, garlic, lemon zest, parsley, grated gruyère, s&p. Dough is quartered, rolled out, shaped roughly into circles, transferred to a large parchment-lined baking sheet, filled with 1/4 of filling, edges pleated inward leaving an open center. Bake until golden brown. Can be refrigerated and gently reheated. Gets rave reviews.
Birth Classes in December
Supported Birth classes (Tuesdays, December 1st-15th from 7-10pm) educate women/couples about birth based on technical knowledge, confidence in the natural biological process of birth, self exploration and pain coping tools/techniques. Couples will come out of class feeling empowered and positive about birth and that there’s “no one right” way or method for giving birth. Class sizes are limited.
