Your Jr. Chef can make French toast It’s as simple as soaking dry bread for 30 seconds in milk/egg (a custard really), frying in a pan, and enjoying. Notes: alt/flavored milks okay, alt extracts okay; add orange zest, cinnamon or pinch of fresh-ground nutmeg to custard; top with toasted nuts/drizzled with maple syrup. (Spoiler alert – recipe included.) How about this? – for dinner, make Savory French Toast by adding your choice of chopped fresh rosemary/thyme/chives/oregano and grated Parmesan to the custard, and subbing the vanilla extract with grated onion.
