Customized private Jewish education and Bar Mitzvah preparation

We’ve made the decision this year to proceed with my oldest becoming a Bar Mitzvah without being affiliated with a synagogue. After meeting with and “interviewing” many different people, we are so happy to have decided to work with Stephanie Streja. She is respected in the Jewish community, having worked in the private sector as well as in area synagogues/schools. Packages include Reading/Writing Hebrew, Shabbat blessings/prayers, chanting Torah and Haftorah, creating a unique Bar/Bat Mitzvah service customized to your child’s personality and creativity. Weekly lessons taught in West Hills or via Skype.

Wear a bald cap for a day and raise money for your act

October 17th

Participants wear a bald cap for a day to honor cancer patients and raise money for charities that help them and their families. The event is hosted by Small Army for a Cause, a 501c3 organization founded by Boston Ad Agency, Small Army (http://smallarmy.net/), after losing its co-founder to cancer in 2007. To date, Be Bold, Be Bald has raised more than $500,000, with benefits proceeding a variety of cancer charities. Many cancer patients do not have a choice about going bald. Can you do it for just one day? No need to shave your head – just sign up to participate and get your bald cap.
