Has Your Child Experienced Or Witnessed A Stressful Or Traumatic Event?
After a traumatic or stressful event, families face challenges that can affect family interactions, routines & communication. At the UCLA STAR Family Group, kids (ages 8-13) and parents work together, over the course of 12 sessions, to build on current strengths and learn new skills to help manage stress and overcome common challenges. Additional groups offered at the clinic include SuperParenting (for parents only of kids aged 5-12 who worry/stress/are very anxious) and LGBTQ+ Resilience (for teens 14-17 yrs old who identify anywhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum).
