Operation Gratitude Family Day In Honor Of Our Nation’s Heroes
Saturday, April 21st in Chatsworth
All ages are welcome and they will have a dedicated assembly line for families with young children. Bring your kids, invite your school, or organize your Scout group to attend! The goal will be to assemble 4,000 Care Packages for Deployed Troops and 4,000 for Veterans. They will also have other activities taking place including Battalion Buddies, paracord bracelets, letter writing, and a coloring area just for kids. Strollers are not allowed inside the FOB, but there will have a designated stroller “parking lot” available just outside the front of the building.

Havaya Arts is a brand new Jewish overnight arts camp based in Southern California and is the only Jewish overnight arts camp in the country that is focused on giving young artists the opportunity to make art that is camper driven and original. Yallwest, Southern Cal’s Young Adult Book Festival
Saturday, May 5th at Santa Monica High School
Last year’s event drew more than 20,000 attendees and donated thousands of dollars in book sale proceeds to school libraries in the Santa Monica Malibu school Districted, as well as hundreds of books to students in Los Angeles Unified School District. The festival is free and open to the public (with the exception of a few keynote speaker events, which are ticketed for space restrictions). Yallwest is an incredible opportunity for readers of all ages to meet their favorite authors and share their excitement for books and reading.
