Developmental Learning Tools for 3- to 6-month-olds
• Baby discovers at this stage how much fun her own hands can be now that they’re no longer clenched in a fist. She can suck her fingers and use them to grasp a toy that has been placed in his hands. Since she has begun to reach for and explore objects, give her safe things of grasping size and different textures to hold.
• He’ll soon pass a toy back and forth between hands and rotate his wrist to inspect the toy from all sides, then pop it in his mouth. Make toys safe for chewing– check labels – because Baby wants to look at, feel, chew on, handle, and drop everything!
• BY 6 mo, she may sit up, giving her a new perspective on life, making her center of her own clanging, colorful, ever-changing world.

Stray Dog Found in Simi Valley
“Tila” is a coral colored cattle dog of some sort was found wandering yesterday and at that time was found by her owners who told the people who grabbed her on Summit that they lived on Red Hawk up here. Apparently she got out again. Mary Ann scoured the neighborhood for 4 hours, including door to door on Red Hawk to no avail. She’s shabby, but sweet, mellow and friendly and no tags. Her collar does have an “American Kennel” signage on it but that could just be the brand, not meaning she is a purebred? Having 4 large dogs of my own, she wasn’t able to keep her overnight, but found a vacant property on Red Hawk where she is being kept (neighbors are watching out for her). Mary Ann plans on picking her up today to take her somewhere to see if she is microchiped. But if nothing comes out of all of this, she will have to take her to the Simi Shelter for holding.
