The Bay Foundation’s August 4th Volunteer Event at LAX Dunes – by the Beach
The Bay Foundation and The Friends of LAX Dunes seek volunteers for their monthly clean-up at the LAX Dunes, from 8:45am-12pm! The LAX Dunes are the largest remaining fragment of the El Segundo Dunes complex, and they provide a habitat for over 900 species, some of which cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. Thousands of volunteers have removed acres of non-native vegetation such as ice plant and Russian thistle at this site. Join them and experience why this place is so special! American Classical Theatre & Jazz Festival A Streetcar Named Desire

The great American classic A Streetcar Named Desire comes to life with Hollywood’s dramatic writer/director Matt Ritchey at the helm featuring TV and theatre sensation Lucas Alifano as Stanley. New Orleans sensuality invites the audience through a vortex of desire as southern belle Blanche regresses into madness. The immense multi-level wrought-iron stage set in the Black Box Theatre is meticulously constructed over a four-week period by Martyn Tyler and Keith. Due to limited capacity of 70 tickets per show, early purchases are highly recommended for this immersive event. Ages 13 and over. Saturday matinee is a student showcase and all ages.
