Over thirty children Conejo and Simi Valley have rare cancers
If you live within 20 miles of the Simi Valley Mountains your family may be exposed to toxic chemicals and nuclear waste from the Santa Susana Field Lab nuclear meltdown. In 2010 the DOE promised the community a full clean up, but today they are proposing alternatives that could leave as much as 93% of the toxins onsite. Although the DOE promises these toxins are not reaching us, we know of thirty local kids with rare cancers. A childhood cancer study has not been conducted and we want to let the DOE know we will not accept anything less than a full cleanup for the sake of our children’s safety.
