New school in Santa Clarita is registering for Fall 2010/2011
Serving children ages 2 – 5. “I can do it.” Sound familiar? The program harnesses your three year olds adventurous spirit. They encourage them to “do it” – pour their own juice, serve their class-made snacks, clean up after themselves, and take care of their friends. In this context, they gain confidence in their social and cognitive skills. They increase their knowledge of shapes, colors, letters, numbers, the calendar, and their own bodies. In a structured and caring way, They encourage them to settle differences, to be a good friend, and to make decisions. The approach establishes a strong foundation to thrive in the more academic years that follow along with a nurturing Judaic filled environment. For information call: (661) 877-7121.

Now is the perfect time to plan a “staycation”
Here are some ideas to keep your mind off the heat and focused on what summer should truly be about, having fun and relaxing.
· Discover the treasures outside of your immediate surroundings.  A change of scenery will do you some good and will signify “vacay”- as long as you don’t have to spend the day in a traffic jam…
· Pack a special picnic and go to the lake or beach for the day. Not feeling the outdoors? Try checking out the museum’s latest exhibit or head to an Imax movie.
· Go to discount sites like www.kayak.com or www.pricelines.com and score great deals to ritzy retreats! Treat yourself to weekend away and discover everything the hotel has to offer.
· Indulge in foreign cuisines and pretend to be on another continent. Surf the net for something different like an “Australian” restaurant or even go Greek.
· Take a night for yourself and paint the town red.  Get dolled up so that you feel extra special. In the market for something gorge? Try the Fierce Mamas by Christian Sweetheart Dress (www.moodymamas.com) – you will look like a goddess!
· On a budget? Have the girls over for a DIY mani/pedi party. Take turns doing each other’s nails while sipping on virgin cocktails.
