Are you the parent of this child?
“I was at Aidan’s Place on Sepulveda in Westwood this afternoon [5/10] with my twins. There was a Filipino nanny who was sleeping while the toddler she was supposed to be watching was sitting next to her. I went over and woke her — I had to say “excuse me” very loudly several times. She claimed that the sun was causing pain in her eyes and she just had her eyes closed. She had been doubled over dead asleep. When we first arrived, the toddler was by himself on the equipment and the nanny was sitting far away from him on a side wall. It was bad enough that she wasn’t engaging with him in any way but then she was asleep while he could have run off or been taken. The toddler is a blond boy who is 23 months old. We had talked to them when we first arrived so I know his age. He had on a blue shirt and a blue ball cap with SD on it. He had a red Step 2 push car. His nanny was an older Filipino lady, had a dark mustard yellow purse, and was wearing all khaki colored clothing with a big sun hat. Email balatbat.k@gmail.com

Give the gift of life!
Allison Zicree’s 1st Annual Birthday Memorial Blood & Bone Marrow Drive
Last June, 13 month old SFV toddler, Allison Zicree was diagnosed with an extremely rare & aggressive form of cancer(acute megakaryocytic leukemia M7). Her only hope for survival was intense chemotherapy coupled with a bone marrow transplant. The search for her match began immediately at diagnosis. After three rounds of high intensity chemotherapy, the disease became stronger than the medicine used to treat it. In Oct., Allison succumbed to the leukemia, just 4 short months after being diagnosed. Just days before she passed away, a bone marrow match was found for her, but it was too late. She would not have been healthy enough for the transplant process. During her treatment, Allison also required several blood transfusions and platelet infusions, it was because of the generosity of friends, family, and strangers that she was able to receive exactly what she needed, when she needed it. In her memory, Allison’s parents, in conjunction with Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills and Be the Match, is hosting a blood drive and bone marrow registration drive, complete with cake, balloons, and lollipops! Please help give the gift of life – your blood donation can help at least 3 patients. Becoming a member of the bone marrow registry is so easy – all it takes is 4 cotton swab swipes from the inside of your mouth!

Web Safety
Software to protect children and alert parents before danger happens.  If your child is contacted by someone they don’t know [predators are online everyday grooming kids, trying to find their next victims] and they receive a message like ‘LMIRL’ = let’s meet in real life, parents will get an instant text alert and follow up email.  If your child is being cyber bullied, stalked, or being asked to send nude pics [AKA ‘sexting’ which becomes child pornography once trafficked from friend to friend.], parents will be instantly alerted.  Web Safety’s software is also a porn filter for both the PC and cell. Web Safety’s software also STOPS texting while driving, which is causing more accidents and deaths than drunk driving right now. Parents can get real time alerts when their child is driving or being driven too fast.  Our software allows parents to create ‘no texting zones’, whether it’s to stop texting in school, church, or wherever the parent decides, and also can stop cyber cheating or distractions.  Parents can always locate their child with our reverse GPS as well as create virtual fences to be alerted when their child enters or leaves school, home, work, etc.  Web Safety protects children, alerts parent before danger happens and puts parents back in charge so children aren’t in harm’s way!

“I know how important it is to have a good Internist or primary care physician. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Shahram Jacobs in Encino and wanted to share it. I waited less than 15 min to see him, he really took his time with me and asked me a bunch of questions and was able to give me a diagnosis after 5 other doctors had missed it!
